Local-first by design
LingoSense's typing correction runs entirely on your device. The text you type never leaves your machine, except for the optional, anonymous sharing described below.
What we collect
Email address — for sign-in, license and updates. A random, anonymous device id. With your consent only: individual words that were corrected or reverted (never whole sentences) to improve the engine. In the playground: individual words you type there and optional feedback.
Approximate location
With your telemetry consent only, we attach a coarse location to each anonymous event — country, region/state and city, derived at our edge from your IP address. We never store your IP address itself, and the location is never tied to your identity. It helps us understand where the product is used and prioritise languages and support. Decline telemetry and no location is collected.
Legal basis
Consent — for usage-data sharing and approximate location (you can turn it off any time in the app). Contract — for managing your account and license.
Retention & deletion
Anonymous usage events, including approximate location, are deleted automatically after 90 days. You can delete your account and all associated data directly from the app (Settings → Delete account), or by contacting us.
Your rights
Access, correct and delete your data, and object to processing. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Sub-processors
Supabase (hosting and authentication). Vercel (website hosting and edge geolocation). Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
